Pyrus

The Basement Gallery

In 2011 we launched our first concept store in Central London on Newburgh Street. As Lorraine and I love art, the addition of a gallery was a very easy and natural decision. The space called – THE BASEMENT GALLERY, allows us to curate and showcase the artists we love and think are fresh and new.

Over past year and a half we have showcased some amazingly talented people. Here are a few of them:

Debbie Lawson / Geza Szollosi / Beth Carter /  Natalia Escobar /  Simeon Farrar / Mr Clements / Hin / Patrick Haines

The Curiosity Bag

The Curiosity bag is the result of the collaboration between Pyrus and international lifestyle publication Oh Comely Magazine. A few months ago Lorraine was talking to Agatha Nitecka the Fashion Editor of the magazines – they decided to colloborate on a project and the result was an exclusive run of ethically sourced organic cotton bags.

The bags are available online and through our boutique.

Backstage at the SS12 Shoot

The team behind our Spring Summer Look Book couldn’t be more on the same page than this bunch. We love working with stylist Kay Korsh who is also fashion edit

or of Schon Magazine and photographer Diego Indraccolo who has shot for Vogue Italia. For the background we asked Scenic Artist David Packard to create a textured backdrop. He has worked with Annie Liebowitz and on the sets of James Bond and The Hours.

Our theme for this season was the Foreign Legion on Holiday. The brief was to create a backdrop and shoot that felt like a trip back to the 1930′s Morocco. You can see the influence this season with the contrast of light weight military parka jackets and shorts against the floaty pyjama trousers and prints.

We loved designing this collection and the shoot captured it perfectly. We hope all of you like it too.
