In 2011 we launched our first concept store in Central London on Newburgh Street. As Lorraine and I love art, the addition of a gallery was a very easy and natural decision. The space called – THE BASEMENT GALLERY, allows us to curate and showcase the artists we love and think are fresh and new.
Over past year and a half we have showcased some amazingly talented people. Here are a few of them:

The Curiosity bag is the result of the collaboration between Pyrus and international lifestyle publication Oh Comely Magazine. A few months ago Lorraine was talking to Agatha Nitecka the Fashion Editor of the magazines – they decided to colloborate on a project and the result was an exclusive run of ethically sourced organic cotton bags.
The bags are available online and through our boutique.

The more inventive the better, or maybe the mug does all the talking…, so far we have had some great shots posted onto our Facebook page, and everyone at our store got involved last week for the launch party of our collaboration with Oh Comely! in which many amusing polaroid
snaps were taken!

This December sees the collaboration of PYRUS and international life style publication OH COMELY!.Having been featured in several of their issues, and being big fans of the title, a proposal from PYRUS to collaborate on an exclusive product, resulted in the creation of a unique organic cotton shopping bag with an OH COMELY! side featuring their tag line ‘keep your curiousity sacred’ and a special PYRUS design on the other side . The launch night on the 8th of December was a fabulous affair which saw the PYRUS designers and the OH COMELY! team unveil the bag for the first time, over an event held at the PYRUS store, in which everyone got in the festive spirit indulging in the mulled wine and spicy fruit tea drinking from an array of delightful mugs and munched away on the yummy delicacies on offer such as Lorraine’s DELICIOUS lemon cupcakes. (BIG thank you!) A great time was had and we were so happy that everyone made such an effort with the mug shot theme. There was mug shot polaroid images captured of everyone throughout the night, so check out our facebook page to see if your picture is up!
